How are Dental Fillings Placed?
The treatment for dental fillings is a fairly simple one and can be completed in just one visit. However, our dentist may need to schedule additional appointments to have those placed if there are multiple cavities.

The tooth will be numbed for the procedure, so while you may feel pressure from the instruments, you won’t feel any pain. After the decay has been completely removed from the tooth, our dentist will clean the area to prepare it for the filling. When composite fillings are used, they will be applied in layers. Each layer will be cured or hardened using a special light before the next layer is applied. This helps to strengthen the filling. Once all the filling material has been placed, our dentist will trim off any excess material and polish the filling to produce a more natural appearance.
